The ambassador of Great Britain in Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, said that in a meeting with the acting president, Albulena Haxhiu, they discussed the importance of reaching an agreement for the president after the June 7 elections.

He said on Facebook that the political parties must reach a compromise to avoid new elections and the loss of opportunities for Kosovo.

“I met this morning with the acting president and the acting president of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu. We discussed the importance of the new Assembly being able to choose a president after the elections, to avoid another election and the loss of opportunities for Kosovo. We also discussed the unacceptable abuse directed at women politicians on social networks, he wrote in Facebook.

The Presidency of Kosovo has announced that the election process of June 7 was discussed at the meeting.
