The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, has stated in a press conference that for this party the issue of the president is already closed.

Hamza has stated that the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) has not shown the will to resolve this issue, despite the fact that, according to him, the PDK has offered support for a consensual candidate for president, “without being involved in the government”.

The chairman of the PDK, Bedri Hamza, has stated that he has accepted a communication with the chairman of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti.

“Kurti's offer was for the PDK deputies to stand in the hall for the President and in exchange for the PDK to receive the Speaker of the Assembly. This is not serious. We are not talking about the Speaker of the Assembly”, Hamza stated.

Hamza said that Kurti made an offer to the PDK to give him the position of Speaker of the Assembly, until she the vice-president that this party has should pass to VV.

“It is frivolous because the presidency of the Assembly has been constituted, the Assembly is constituted, they have been elected and voted. We have not disputed this issue, we are not talking about the Speaker of the Assembly. We have not gone to beg for a position either for ourselves or for any of the members of the Democratic Party. We have gone to give the country institutions and political stability. This is not at all serious,” Hamza declared.
