18 miners continue to be trapped in the “Trepa” mine, after reported problems with electricity in the mining facility.

The news was confirmed by the head of the Miners’ Union, Ibrahim Jonuzi, who announced that initially about 40 miners were trapped, but most of them managed to get out through alternative exits.

According to Jonuzi, currently 18 miners are still inside the mine, while the responsible teams are working to solve the problem and evacuate them safely.

He emphasized that the health status of the miners at the moment is stable, but warned that a longer stay underground could negatively affect their condition.
