Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, has stated that Albania considers “completely unacceptable” Russia’s announcement calling on diplomatic personnel and foreign citizens to leave Kiev before the planned attacks, reports Anadolu.
In a reaction on social networks, Hoxha has emphasized that Albania will not withdraw from Kiev.
“Albania considers Russia’s announcement to calling on diplomatic personnel and citizens to leave Kiev is not acceptable, it is another violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. We will not be intimidated.
“there can be no more war, more crimes or indiscriminate attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure”.
“The only way forward is to end a war that should never have started and engage in real and good faith negotiations for peace. This was conveyed very clearly today to the Ambassador of Russia in Tirana”, Hoxha emphasized.
Russia appealed to the residents of Kiev, including diplomats and staff members of organizations international, to leave the city “as soon as possible” before what he described as “systematic attacks” on facilities linked to Ukraine’s military industry.
