Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, has stated that the partnership between Albania and Italy is based on deep historical ties and a shared strategic vision for the future, reports Anadolu.
Minister Hoxha is conducting an official visit to Italy, meanwhile he met in Rome with Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani.
“We reaffirmed the excellent partnership between Albania and Italy, based on deep historical ties, on the close friendship between our peoples and on a common strategic vision for the future. Few partnerships are as deep and as well structured as ours. Our talks confirmed the high level of cooperation in a wide range of areas, including political dialogue, European integration, security, migration, connectivity, energy, economy, tourism, culture and people-to-people ties.” expressed Hoxha.Chief diplomat Hoxha has added that Italy remains Albania’s main trade partner and a strategic investor in priority sectors.
“I expressed Albania’s sincere gratitude for Italy’s continuous and unwavering support for our European Union membership process as well as for its continued role as one of the strongest supporters of the European future of Albania and the Western Balkans. Together, we remain committed to further strengthening our strategic partnership, for the benefit of our citizens, regional stability and a stronger Europe”, emphasized Hoxha.
