Barcelona continues to keep an eye on the Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, however his transfer to “Camp Nou” remains complicated due to the high price demanded by Galatasaray.
According to the journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the Turkish club is not ready to negotiate for offers below 140 million euros for the attacker’s card.
This amount reflects the fantastic season that Osimhen had during the 2025/26 edition, where he was rated as the best footballer in the Turkish Super League and was one of the key figures in Galatasaray’s title defense.
The 27-year-old had an excellent season, contributing 22 goals and eight assists in 32 games in all competitions.
In the Turkish championship he recorded 15 goals and five assists in 22 appearances, while in the Champions League he stood out with seven goals and three assists in 10 games.
One of the most memorable performances of the season was against Ajax in the Champions League, where he scored three goals and once again proved his qualities as one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe.
Osimheni’s good form was also reflected with Nigeria, for which he scored four goals and provided two assists in six games.
Throughout the season he accumulated 2,550 minutes in field with Galatasaray, attempting 115 times towards the goal, while 66 of his shots were in the box.
Barcelona is expected to look for alternatives for the offensive department during the summer market, but the request of 140 million euros could make it very difficult to reach an agreement for Osimheni.
