Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Monday evening, despite US President Donald Trump’s declarations of a ceasefire agreement between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah, reports Anadolu.

Lebanon’s state news agency NNA said Israeli warplanes struck the town of Bazouriyeh in Tir district.

Israeli warplanes also carried out two other strikes in the towns of Siddiqine and Yater in areas of Tire and Bint Jbeil.

Other attacks hit the town of Mansouri and Bayt al-Sayyad south of Tire, NNA said.

There was no immediate information on casualties from these attacks.

Earlier, Trump said that Israel and Hezbollah had reached an understanding to stop attacks on each other.
