Fulham is very close to appointing Álvaro Arbeloa as the new coach of the first team, with negotiations in the final stage, according to the latest reports from the international media.
Alvaro Arbeloa’s former defender, who has been part of the staff and then coach at Real Madrid, is expected to take over the management of the English club after the departure of Marco Silva.
Arbeloa just a few days ago parted ways with Real Madrid, where had served as a first-team coach and earlier as part of the club’s academy, being considered one of the promising young figures in the Spanish technical bench.
In England, he is not an unknown name, having previously played for and West Ham United, which makes his return to the Premier League – this time as a coach – even more interesting.
Fulham, who are looking for stability after changes in the technical staff, see Arbeloa as a modern profile and ready for a long-term project.
The agreement between the parties is expected to be finalized very soon, while the formalization may come in the following days.
