One person lost his life as a result of a fight that took place on Sunday morning in the village of Kobaj in Prizren.

The spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Prizren Region, Shaqir Bytyqi, told Klankosova.tv that the case was reported around 11:50, where two families, cousins, were involved in a physical conflict using strong tools.

“As a result of the injuries taken by a sharp tool (knife), a 27-year-old man has lost his life,” Bytyqi said.

According to him, the suspects, as well as the victim’s family members, have been escorted to the Police Station in Prizren for further procedures.

“All the relevant police units, as well as the superiors from the Prizren Police Station and the Regional Police Directorate in Prizren, have gone to the scene. The police have taken security measures on purpose of maintaining order and the safety of the persons involved”, said Bytyqi.

He added that the Kosovo Police, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, is conducting intensive investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the event.

“The police, in close coordination with the State Prosecutor, is undertaking all investigative actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the case”, declared Bytyqi.
