Petar Petkovic, director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, through a statement has publicly defended Milan Radoicic, whom the Kosovo authorities have identified as the main organizer of the terrorist attack of September 24, 2023 in Banjska.
Petkovic, in his reaction in “X” to the criticism of the Serbian opposition, called the accusation that Radoicic “low and shameful” is responsible for the terror against the Serbs, placing the blame entirely on the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Petkovic also attacked the Serbian opposition politician, Miroslav Aleksic, because of his criticism of Radoicic, declaring that “a Serbian patriot does not expel his people, but fights for them with his heart and soul”.
This statement comes as a clear political support from official Belgrade for a figure connected to the armed attack against the Kosovo.
Radoicic himself has accepted responsibility for organizing the attack, saying that he personally made all the logistical preparations. Despite this, he continues to be free in Serbia, without being prosecuted by the Serbian authorities.
For the terrorist attack in Banjska, the international community, including NATO, have continuously demanded responsibility from Serbia, demanding that Milan Radoicic be brought to justice
