The spokeswoman of the Kosovo Police for the Gjakova region, Vlera Krasniqi, has confirmed for Klankosova.tv that the cases were reported in the villages of Gërgoc and Cërmjan.

“According to the first information from the field, as a result of the bad weather, several cases of falling trees and damage to electric poles have been reported in the villages of Gërgoc and Cërmjan. The relevant Police units have gone out immediately at the scene, while the municipal emergency services have also been notified. In cooperation with the responsible institutions, they have intervened on the ground and currently the roads in this area are passable”, Krasniqi told Klankosova.tv.

The authorities have called on citizens to be careful when moving, as atmospheric conditions can cause other risks in different areas of the region.
