According to the police, at around 19:50, the Road Traffic Unit stopped a BMW 118 vehicle with local license plates, as during the measurement it was found that the driver SH.B. (30 years old) was moving at 82 km/h in an area where the speed limit is 50 km/h.

“During the check, it was found that the driver was driving the vehicle at a speed above the permitted limit,” the police announcement states.

Also, during the verifications, it was found that a protective measure was active against the driver for the period 12.03.2026 – 11.03.2027.

For the detected violation, several punitive measures have been imposed on him, including a fine of 500 euros, 5 negative points, continuation of the driving ban for another 6 months, as well as confiscation of the vehicle.

The Ferizaj Regional Police has warned that it will continue with increased traffic controls, in order to increase road safety and respect for traffic rules.

The authorities have also called for cooperation from citizens, inviting them to report traffic violations through number 192, lines 0290/326-250 and 0290/322-406, as well as the application “Notify the Police”.
