The Acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha, has visited the village of Dardani in Ferizaj to see closely the situation created after the heavy rains that engulfed the area the day before.
He announced that the maintenance teams have been instructed to immediately start repairing the damage to the road infrastructure, including the repair of the damaged sidewalks.
“Today I was on the ground to see close up of the situation in the village of Dardani in Ferizaj, after the heavy rains we had yesterday. Together with the maintenance company, I instructed the teams to immediately start repairing the damage on the road, including the repair of the damaged sidewalks,” Basha said. He emphasized that the institutions will react in cases of natural disasters, while he also warned of long-term projects to solve the problems with stormwater.
“Disasters We cannot prevent natural disasters, but we will be there to react when the need arises”, he added.
According to him, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is working on the design of a project that aims at a long-term solution for this area, through the construction of an adequate system for the removal of stormwater.
“The Ministry is already in the design phase of the project that will bring a long-term solution to most of this problem, through the construction of an adequate system for the removal of atmospheric waters”, Basha announced.
He added that part of the problems is also related to the mismanagement of underground water by some residents of the area, calling for cooperation.
