In the region of Kaçanik, during field checks for the protection of forests, the police encountered a suspected case of illegal cutting of wood.

According to the announcement on Facebook, a “pickup” type vehicle with local license plates was stopped as its driver was cutting wood with a chainsaw and preparing it for transport.

By order of the state prosecutor, a case was opened for “Theft of the forest”, broadcasts Klankosova.tv.

The suspect, after the interview, was released in a regular procedure, while the vehicle was released.

The used chainsaw was seized by the authorities.

“During the actions at the scene, two other pickup trucks with local license plates were identified, where the drivers possessed chainsaws. The vehicles were released, while the chainsaws were confiscated.
