A China Eastern Airlines plane has collided with a passenger bridge at Shanghai International Airport, reports Anadolu.

According to local media, which quoted the airline, all passengers on board were safe and disembarked in an “orderly manner”.

The incident happened around noon on Saturday.

Expressing regret for the incident, the company said a “mechanical fault” occurred while the plane was taking off. was moving slowly toward the parking lot.

The crew immediately followed procedures, and the plane eventually made “partial contact” with the passenger bridge, the company said.

Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
