The Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Noel Barrot, has condemned the latest attack by an Israeli citizen on a nun in Quds, reports Anadolu.

Barrot on the American social network X described the attack as “disgusting”.

“The punishment must be exemplary, so that the anti-Christian acts that are increasing in the Holy Land will end, acts that France, dedicated to the mission its history of protecting Catholic communities and holy sites cannot tolerate them under any circumstances,” Barrot said.

Minister Barrot’s comments come after it was reported that a 36-year-old Israeli man was arrested for attacking a French nun in East Jerusalem, in what Israeli police said was “racially motivated.”
