Iranian media reports sporadic fighting in the Strait of Hormuz

Sporadic skirmishes have been reported in the Strait of Hormuz between Iranian armed forces and US ships, reports Anadolu.

Iranian Fars news agency reported that sporadic skirmishes have continued for several hours in this strategic waterway.

Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces have disabled two more ships suspected of violating the blockade in the Gulf. Oman.

The developments came at a time of heightened tensions in and around the Strait of Hormuz, following overnight exchanges involving Iranian and US forces.
