A new school year has begun in Khartoum, the first full one since the outbreak of war that paralyzed much of the education system in the Sudanese capital.
During the conflict, hundreds of schools were damaged or closed, leaving thousands of students out of school. Now, with the gradual return of families to the city and the reopening of campuses, children are returning to classrooms.
Authorities and teachers hope that the resumption of the learning process will mark an important step towards the normalization of life in the city, after years of uncertainty and disruptions. /message
