An operation against cybercrime, coordinated by EUROPOL, in which several countries of the world, including Kosovo, have participated, in our country has resulted in the arrest of three people.
As the Kosovo Police announces, the operation was conducted on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, by the investigators of the Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrimes in the Kosovo Police, under the leadership of the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo, in three locations: Vushtrri, Obiliq and Ferizaj.
“By order of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, the following persons were detained for 48 hours: A.R., A.K. and R.H., on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of ‘Unauthorized access to the computer system’ and ‘Theft of identity and credentials'”.
“According to the investigations, the suspects, during the period 2023-2025 using “their technological knowledge and acting under false names and names, have provided personal, financial and credential data in illegal ways. These data were then published on the online platform “LEAKBASE.IO”, for the purpose of sale and material gain, as well as enabling unauthorized persons to use them for criminal purposes,” said the Police, Klankosova.tv reports.
As material evidence, 3 laptops, 5 computer lodges, 6 mobile phones and 2 memory devices.
This operation is part of an international police operation (OP LEAK), which has been developed in a coordinated and simultaneous manner in the following countries: USA, Great Britain, Australia, Germany, Kosovo, Romania, Poland, Portugal, Canada, Malaysia, Greece, Spain, Netherlands and Belgium. /Klankosova.tv
