Over 30 miners have remained trapped in the “Trepça” mine, as a result of problems with the electricity supply.
The news was confirmed to teve1.info by the head of the Miners’ Union, Ibrahim Jonuzi, who said that dozens of other miners have managed to get out through secondary roads, while over 30 others continue to remain trapped underground.
Accordingly According to him, the technical problems in the mine are long-standing and the union has repeatedly raised concerns about the state of the infrastructure and the lack of investment in the energy and safety system.
“Over 40 trapped, some have come out of the secondary roads. Meanwhile, there are still over 30 trapped. All this happened because of the electricity fault. We as a union have warned that the cable system is outdated and is endangering it the miner’s life”, declared Jonuzi.
The health condition of the trapped miners is still unknown. /
