The Ministry of Work, Family and Values of the Liberation War has announced that maternity allowances in the amount of 500 euros have been implemented.

This decision comes after the Government in office, on Friday, approved the increase in allowances for maternity mothers.

The Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, stated that the increase in allowances is related to the increase in the minimum wage in the country.

“From this month, we are increasing maternity allowances. Until the previous administrations, we started paying 170 euros for unemployed mothers and three months for employed ones, while last year we increased the minimum wage to 500 euros. This year, it will be 500 euros we are increasing maternity allowances from 325 to 500 euros per month”, stated Kurti.

Meanwhile, just a few days before the new parliamentary elections, the current Government has also allocated 100 euros for pensioners, children, the non-public sector and students.
