The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has declared that his days at the head of the state are coming to an end, announcing that he plans to leave the post within a few weeks.

During a rally of the Serbian Progressive Party in Belgrade, Vučić said that this may be his last appearance before such a large crowd, hinting that his resignation is near.

At the same event, he presented and the electoral list “United Serbia”, which will compete in the upcoming elections.

Speaking about Kosovo, Vučić said that Serbia remains ready for dialogue, but not for negotiations regarding, as he said, “its territory”.

Vučić has been in power for 13 years, while his term as president ends in the middle of next year.

Serbia continues to face continuous protests for more than a year. and a half, launched after the tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station in November 2024, where 16 people lost their lives.
