The Central Election Commission has announced that on May 10, 2026, the deadline for new political entities (coalitions, civic initiatives and independent candidates) to submit their application for certification of participation in the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo, which will be held on June 7, 2026, has closed.
During the 9-day period (May 2 – May 10, 2026) the CEC has accepted applications for certification from: 3 coalitions; 1 citizen initiative and 1 independent candidate.

After the election period for notification of participation in elections by political parties and for the formation of coalitions (May 1 – 7), as well as the period for application for certification by new political entities (May 2 – 10), the total number of political entities that can be part of early elections is: 27, of which 22 are political parties; 3 coalitions; 1 citizen initiative; and 1 independent candidate.

According to the Law on General Elections, registered political parties are automatically considered certified, therefore the certification process only applies to new political entities, namely coalitions, citizen initiatives and independent candidates.

After the certification process is completed, the CEC will organize the drawing of lots for their ranking on the ballot for the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.

However, until May 12, 2026, all political entities (political parties, coalitions, citizen initiatives and independent candidates) must submit online the list of the names of candidates for deputies for certification of participation in the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.

The political parties that have announced their participation in the elections (May 1 – 7) are:

Movement Progressive of the Roma of Kosovo;

The United Roma Party of Kosovo – PREBK;

The political parties that have announced the formation of the coalition (May 1 – 7) are:

Demokratska Stranka Bošnjaka and Demokratska Stranka Vatan (Koalicija VAKAT);
Party of Ashkali for Integration, Democratic Party of Ashkali of Kosovo and Movement for Cooperation (United Ashkali); and Lévizja Vetëvendosje, Guxo, Alternativa and Partia Albanian Demokristiane (Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE!).

The civic initiative that has applied for certification to participate in the elections is: Složno Pobedijuemo.

The independent candidate that has applied for certification to participate in the elections is: Esmir Kasi./
