The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has forwarded a letter to the President of the USA, Donald Trump regarding the invitation to represent Albania in the Peace Board for Gaza, reports Anadolu.

In his letter published on social networks, Rama expresses his deep appreciation for Trump’s strong commitment and visionary leadership in the establishment of the Peace Board.

Thanking for the invitation personally addressed to him and of the Republic of Albania to serve as a founding member of the Peace Board for Gaza, Rama declared that “Soon our commitment will be forwarded to the Assembly of Albania for approval”.

Prime Minister Rama emphasizes that peace must be actively formed and not passively expected or discussed endlessly in political forums, while around the globe innocent lives are lost in vain every minute.

“It seems clear that in order to be an organization of In the international world, the Peace Board is not conceived as another forum of deferred declarations, procedures and responsibilities, but as a focused and purposeful instrument of global leadership and responsibility,” he emphasizes.

“When endlessly filtered through layers of procedures, peace too often arrives too late. This initiative rightly embodies the understanding that time, clarity of mandate and personal responsibility at the highest level are themselves instruments of peace”, he added.

Prime Minister Rama in his letter expresses full readiness to contribute to this important effort and to become fully part of a common commitment that aims to translate the vision into action.

“The Republic of Albania has long been a steadfast ally of the United States of America, bound by common values, mutual respect and a common commitment to freedom, democracy and security international”, he emphasized.

After noting the stable spirit of partnership, Rama reiterates that the Republic of Albania firmly stands by the United States of America, in all efforts to promote peace, security and constructive global engagement.
