The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, Timço Mucunski, said that in conditions of geopolitical instability, it is time for Europe not only to wake up, but also to take a step forward in the direction of the expansion of the European Union (EU), reports Anadolu.

As part of the working visit to Zagreb, Croatia, Mucunski participated and addressed the forum organized by the International Democratic Union (International Democracy Union – IDU).

In his speech, Minister Mucunski emphasized that the state is taking concrete steps and is delivering results both domestically and internationally.

He also emphasized that he does not accept the victim’s narrative, although, as he said, the state constantly faces a process of bilateralization, expressing expectations that with the formation of the Bulgarian government, a new impulse for progress will be created.

As for European integration, he emphasized that support from some member states is important, but a harmonized approach is needed from all member states of the European Union. He added that he expects this approach to be joint and coordinated, mentioning Croatia as a principle supporter of the process.

Focusing on the geopolitical challenges, Minister Mucunski emphasized that in conditions of geopolitical instability, it is time for Europe not only to wake up, but also to take a step forward towards the expansion of the European Union. He also emphasized that we should talk less about history and more about the future.
