The Netherlands condemned Israel’s recent measures aimed at expanding control over the occupied West Bank, calling them “clear violations of international law”, reports Anadolu.

“The Netherlands condemns the new Israeli measures aimed at increasing control over the occupied West Bank. This is a clear violation of international law and further removes the possibility of a negotiated two-state solution,” the foreign minister wrote. Dutchman, David van Weel, on the American social network X.

He called “strongly” for Israel not to implement its latest decisions.

“These actions raise tensions at a time of unprecedented international efforts for peace and stability in the region. The Netherlands emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the two-state solution, with a secure Israel next to an independent and stable Palestinian state,” van Weel added.

Comments The foreign minister’s comments come after Israel’s Security Cabinet on Sunday approved measures aimed at changing the legal and civil framework in the occupied West Bank to strengthen Israeli control.

According to Israeli media reports, the decisions include repealing a law banning the sale of Palestinian land to Jews in the West Bank, opening land ownership registries and transferring the authority to grant building permits to a bloc of settlement settlements in Hebron from the Palestinian municipality to the Israeli civil administration.
