How true can a warning from Russia be for Europe?

Sunday, April 5th 2026

Fuel supplies to the European Union may run out around April 20, said Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President’s special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

“The last shipments through the Strait of Hormuz will arrive in the EU next week, on April 11. But that’s Saturday, so there won’t be much ‘tracking’ from EU bureaucrats. Fasten your seat belts because the ‘real track’ in the EU starts on Monday, April 13,” he wrote on his X account.

Earlier, Dmitriev warned that further increases in energy and raw material prices could have a significant impact on the economy and accelerate inflation, according to TASS. /tesheshi.com/
