Iran maintains contact with Pakistan, says there is still no agreement on new talks with the US

Iran maintains contacts with Pakistan, but no agreement has yet been reached on another round of talks with the US, an Iranian source told the IRNA news agency on Tuesday, Anadolu reports.

The comments came after Iranian and US delegations held rare face-to-face talks in Islamabad on Saturday aimed at ending their conflict, but the talks ended without any agreement.

More than 3,300 people have been killed in US-Israeli airstrikes in Iran since February 28, according to Iranian authorities. Tehran retaliated with missile and drone strikes targeting Israel, Iraq, Jordan and Gulf countries hosting US military assets before a two-week ceasefire was declared last week.
