The person convicted of arms trafficking is transferred from Albania to Kosovo

The Kosovo Police, namely the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination and cooperation with other relevant units and justice institutions, has announced that it has successfully transferred a convict from Albania to Kosovo.

The convict for arms trafficking, R.F, is a Kosovar citizen and will serve the rest of his sentence in Kosovo.

“On 12.05.2026 has been transferred from Albania to Kosovo, the citizen of Kosovo R.F. convicted in the state of Albania for the criminal offense: “trafficking of arms and ammunition in cooperation”, provided for by article 287/a of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania, where the same after the transfer, he was handed over to the Correctional Service of Kosovo to serve the remainder of the sentence of 3 years and 9 months of imprisonment and 28 days of imprisonment, since part of the sentence had suffered in the Albanian state. The transfer was carried out through the Vërmicë border point under strict security measures.
