The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates has denied the statements that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, made a secret visit to Abu Dhabi during the war between Israel and Iran.
In an official statement, the ministry said that the reports of a visit by Netanyahu or the presence of an Israeli military delegation in the territory of the emirate are “untrue and unverified”.
Emirate authorities emphasized that relations between the Emirates and Israel are public and take place within the framework of the Abraham Accords, adding that they “are not based on secret agreements”.
The reaction came after Netanyahu’s office claimed that the visit took place during the military operation “Lion’s Roar” and had brought a “historical advance” in relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, stated that Israel had deployed “Iron Dome” defense systems in the United Arab Emirates during conflict.
The war between Israel and Iran broke out after the American-Israeli attacks in February. Although a ceasefire was reached last month, the Emirates reported several missile and drone attacks from Iran. /message
