The United States Embassy in Tirana has announced that two Albanian sergeants have achieved a significant success in the USA.

Through a post on X, the embassy has announced that Sergeant Marjus Cauli and Corporal Hambel Peçi have won the New Jersey Army National Guard’s Best Warrior Competition for 2026.

“Last week, while celebrating the 25th anniversary of the State Partnership Program between the New Jersey National Guard and the Albanian Armed Forces, Albanian Sergeant Marjus Cauli and Corporal Hambel Peçi competed in the 2026 New Jersey Army National Guard Warrior of the Year Competition – and won in their divisions!”

“During four grueling days, the competitors pushed to at their limits through obstacle courses, water combat skills, and stress firing exercises that included multiple weapon systems. Their victory shows the strength of the State Partnership Program. Congratulations!”, the embassy said in a post
