A person has been arrested on suspicion of misuse and fraud in public procurement and falsification of documents.

This has been announced by the Basic Prosecutor’s Office of Pristina, which said that, in coordination with the Kosovo Police, namely the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in Prishtina, after conducting investigative actions related to suspicions of misuse and fraud in a procurement activity for supplies of equipment to the Kosovo Police, reports Klankosova.tv.

“According to the initial suspicions, the suspect with the initials N.R is being investigated for the criminal offences: Misuse and Fraud in Public Procurement from Article 415 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, and Forgery of documents from Article 390 of the KPRK”, announced the Prosecutor’s Office.

The arrest was carried out by the Kosovo Police, while by order of the state prosecutor, the suspect was detained for 48 hours.

The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina, in cooperation with other relevant institutions, said that it remains committed to fighting crime and corruption, and will undertake all necessary investigative actions in accordance with the law in force. /Klankosova.tv
