A serious incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Suhareka, more precisely in the mountains of Maqiteva, where a 26-year-old man lost his life after allegedly being struck by lightning.

According to the Kosovo Police, at around 17:23, the Suhareka Emergency Department announced that near the place called “Guri i Delloci”, in the mountainous area between the mountains of Bukoshi and Dellocit, a person was suspected to have been struck by lightning and was without signs of life. The announcement was made by some residents of Delloc village.

Immediately after receiving the information, the patrol of the Police Station in Suharekë, together with the investigators, went to the scene. Because the incident took place in a deep mountainous area, access to the scene was difficult.

At the scene, the Suhareka Emergency medical team found the death of the victim, F.B., male, about 26 years old.
