The Islamic Community of Kosovo has condemned the murder of imam Gazmend ef. Tahirhovci in the village of Zlipotok in the municipality of Dragash, which happened on Sunday evening.

In the statement of the BIK, it is said that regardless of the circumstances, no one has the right to deprive another of life.

“Human life is a gift of the Almighty God and violating it constitutes one of the most serious crimes, condemned both by religion and by law. We condemn this act of violence with the greatest severity. serious crime committed against imam Gazmend ef. Tahirhovci and we ask the competent authorities to take all the necessary legal actions, so that the author of this crime receives the punishment he deserves in accordance with the law and justice is served”, says BIK.

The imam in the village of Zlipotok was killed by one of his fellow citizens, due to a dispute over a property.

According to the family members, the imam had received continuous threats from the arrested as a suspect for this resat.
