The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, at the invitation of the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe (SACEUR) and the Commander of the European Command of the United States (EUCOM), General Alexus G. Grynkewich, participated in the ceremony of the change of commander of the American Army for Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF), where General Christopher T. Donahue.
On this occasion, General Jashari expressed his gratitude to General Donahue, appreciating his leadership and the continuous support he has given to the development of the KSF’s capacities and the deepening of cooperation between the two forces.
For his part, General Donahue thanked the KSF commander for participating in the ceremony and appreciated the close cooperation between the KSF and USAREUR-AF, especially in the field of training and joint exercises, which have strengthened the interoperability and partnership between the two armies.
During the stay, General Jashari also held meetings with counterparts from NATO partner countries, as well as with the deputy commander and acting commander of USAREUR-AF, Major General Christopher Norrie. In the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation and expand joint activities.
At the end of the ceremony, the mutual commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the KSF and USAREUR-AF was reaffirmed, with the aim of advancing defense capacities, strengthening security and maintaining peace and stability in Kosovo and the region.
