The Kosovar dairy farmers have decided to hold a protest tomorrow in front of the Ministry of Agriculture.

They say that the protest is “inevitable” after the temporary closure of the “Vita” factory in Istog, due to an action by the Ministry.

“At the meeting held with the members of the association on 07.05.2026, it was unanimously decided that tomorrow we will call on all the farmers to take take part in the protest announced for 06.07.2026 at 13.00 near the Ministry of Agriculture”, the announcement says.

“The protest is inevitable with the situation created for not collecting fresh milk from our farms, turning a deaf ear to the competent actors”, the announcement goes on to say.

Kosovar Dairy Farmers also showed their demands:

-Immediate resumption of collection,
-Urgent publication of the results in order to remove doubt on local products.
– The return of the previous price to save the farms from bankruptcy.

“Participation will be with agricultural tools and milk tankers, please citizens are free to take cans for milk supply free of charge”, says the announcement.
