The Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate of Cybercrime Investigation in coordination with the State Prosecutor – Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, has implemented the Court’s order, in which case a control was carried out in a location in the Prizren region. This case has been investigated in cooperation with the US authorities.

The suspected person, with the aim of obtaining illegal financial benefit for himself or another person, managed to obtain unauthorized bank and personal card data, mainly of US citizens, then made these data available for misuse by placing them on certain online platforms.

The suspect was arrested and by decision of The prosecutor was detained for 48 hours. The case is under further investigative process. Also, future actions will be taken in coordination with the US authorities. During the search, evidence relevant to the case was also seized.
