The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has made a strong statement before the final of the World Cup between Spain and Argentina, expressing his belief that the “Red Fury” has a better team and is the favorite for the trophy.

“Spain will win the final of the World Cup. We have a better team than Argentina”, declared Laporta.

However, the head of the Catalan club emphasized that a role the referee of the final will also be important.

“If the referee takes the match under control, Spain has a greater chance of winning. But the referee must impose himself”, he added.

Laporta’s statement comes just a few days before the big final between Spain and Argentina, a match that is expected to be one of the most watched and discussed of this World Cup.
