The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has congratulated the leadership of Albania for the opening of the last five chapters of negotiations for membership in the European Union, a moment that she has described as historic for the Albanian state and for the entire region.

In a post on the “X” platform, Osmani expressed her congratulations to President Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama and the citizens of Albania, stressing that this development confirms the steadfast commitment of Albania on the road to the EU.

“Congratulations on the opening of the last five chapters of negotiations with the EU — a historic step that brings Albania and our region even closer to the European Union. Today, Kosovo celebrates this achievement together with Albania, as we continue unstoppably on our way to the EU,” Osmani wrote.

She added that this progress of Albania is a message of hope for all citizens of the region who aim for European integration.
