He allegedly hid the child in the trunk of the car while leaving Majorca, and then used other methods to divert the investigation, including sending an “AirTag” tracking device through the mail, in order to create the false impression that he was in a different direction.

To make his identification even more difficult, the suspect had closed bank accounts and deleted social media profiles, almost completely cut off from digital footprints. According to the investigations, he had gradually changed his physical appearance to avoid recognition, while it is suspected that he had also used suspected forged license plates, since a vehicle with the same plates that were used during the escape from Majorca was found in Germany, raising suspicions of deliberate manipulation of identity and means of movement.

Despite these efforts to hide and divert investigations in several European countries, he was located by the Kosovo Police in Field-Kosovo during an operation coordinated with the Spanish and international authorities.

He was caught and arrested by the police at the scene, while the child was immediately taken under the supervision of the authorities and then returned to her mother, successfully concluding the operation.
