The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the new head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Ambassador Dirk Schuebel, with whom he discussed the cooperation between Kosovo and the EU, as well as the European integration process. Kurti congratulated Schuebel for taking up his new position, expressing his readiness for close cooperation during his mandate. At the meeting, Ambassador Schuebel congratulated Kurti for the re-election to the position of Prime Minister and for the formation of the new Government. According to the announcement of the Prime Minister's Office, Kurti emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to the process of membership in the European Union, through a process based on merit. He stated that Kosovo is fully aligned with the EU's foreign and security policy, while underlining that the country shares the same values ​​and vision with the Union European. During the meeting, Kosovo's progress in strengthening democracy, respect for human rights and freedoms and the rule of law was also assessed. Part of the discussion was devoted to institutional stability and its importance for the implementation of the Reform Agenda, which is related to the European integration process. According to Kurt, the necessary reforms are mainly of a legal nature and require a functional Assembly. In the meeting it was also discussed about the economic development of the country, the increase in investments and government programs aimed at improving the well-being of citizens, economic development and increasing employment.
