The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, has stated that Iran is ready to teach “an unforgettable lesson” to any aggression, after the US President, Donald Trump, rejected Tehran’s latest proposal to end the war, reports Anadolu.
“Our armed forces are ready to teach an unforgettable lesson to any aggression”, Qalibaf wrote on the American social network X.
“Wrong strategies and wrong decisions always produce wrong results. The whole world has already realized that,” he added.
Qalibaf also warned that Iran is prepared for “all options,” stressing that opponents “will be surprised.”
The warning came after Trump dismissed Iran’s latest response to a U.S. proposal to end the war, describing it as “completely unacceptable”.
Iranian officials and the media have stated that Tehran’s proposal focuses on ending the war, lifting sanctions and restoring maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.
The US and Israel launched strikes against Iran on February 28, prompting Tehran’s retaliation against Israel and US allies in the Persian Gulf, as well as closing the Strait. Hormuz.
A ceasefire came into effect on April 8 brokered by Pakistan, but talks in Islamabad failed to produce a lasting deal. The truce was subsequently extended by Trump without a specific deadline.
