Israel bombarded the southern Lebanese village of Arnoun with phosphorus shells yesterday, reports Anadolu.
NNA reported that the village in Nabatieh governorate was targeted by “Israeli artillery bombardment with internationally banned phosphorus shells”.
In the same governorate, “Israeli warplanes targeted the village of Toul this afternoon, destroying a number of residential buildings,” according to same source.
NNA further reported that the airstrikes targeted the village of Kfar Tebnit and the Wadi al-Nahr (Litani River) area near Zawtar al-Sharqiyah.
In Tyre, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike in the Burj al-Shamali area while two other strikes targeted the villages of Siddiqin and Bazouriyeh, the agency said.
In Bint Jbeil, the planes Israeli fighters launched attacks on the villages of Frun and Qlaweya.
Earlier on Monday, NNA reported that one person was killed and eight others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike in the village of Ma’raka in Tyre.
The attacks came amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire that took effect on April 17 and was extended on Friday for 45 days until the beginning of July.
Since March 2, Israel has carried out a large-scale offensive against Lebanon that has killed 3,020 people and wounded 9,273 others while displacing more than 1 million people, according to official figures.
