When the shackles of an army show the fear of the free world conscience

There is one kind of fear that the heaviest weapons and the most advanced military technology cannot overcome: the fear of the naked truth. The arrest on Monday of dozens of activists of the “Sumud” flotilla by the Israeli navy, including the Albanian Muslim activist Baki Goxhaj, is the purest evidence of this horror.

A state armed to the teeth, equipped with the most terrifying tools of modern warfare, surrounds and shackles ordinary people who navigate with the only tool they have left: pure human conscience.

But why Benjamin Netanyahu and his machinery. horrified by such a symbolic mission? Because symbolism is the only language that tyranny cannot erase, corrupt or bombard.

The “Sumud” flotilla – a word that in Arabic means steadfastness – did not carry missiles on board but hope, solidarity and dignity. When Baki Goxhaj and his international colleagues set out for the besieged shores of Gaza, they were not simply challenging a military blockade.

On the contrary, they were challenging the narrative of oblivion. They were showing the world that Gaza is not just an isolated wasteland, but an open wound in the conscience of all humanity.

Tyranny can control territories, but it is horrified to realize that it cannot control free souls. For a leader who maintains power through fear and brute force, the presence of an Albanian, a European, and a peace activist in those waters is a political nightmare.

It proves that the cause of Gaza has broken religious, geographical and ethnic boundaries. It shows that the pain of a child in Palestine echoes equally in the heart of an Albanian in the Balkans, as in every corner of the globe where a thread of humanity still beats.

Their arrest is not a sign of power, but a desperate act of fear. It is the futile attempt to drown out a light that exposes the darkness of a cruel siege.

Zionists can stop the ships, they can handcuff activists like Bakiu and temporarily lock them in cells, but they cannot handcuff the message. This arrest simply sealed our moral failure.

Each handcuff tightened on the hands of these missionaries is a proof of their inner freedom and a call that wakes up the sleepers.

Because the symbolism of “Sumud” has already arrived at its destination: it broke the blockade of silence and showed everyone that when the world closes its eyes, ordinary people dare to sail towards the light. square
