Israeli occupiers shot dead a Palestinian during clashes in the West Bank, a Palestinian official said on Wednesday, Anadolu reports.

Mutez Bisharat, a Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official in charge of the Tuba and Northern Jordan Valley files, said in a statement that the Israeli occupiers erected an illegal building near Tuba between the villages of Tayasir and Al Aqaba.

He said that Palestinian Alaa Khaled Subaih was shot dead by the occupiers during clashes near the building. Bisharat added that Israeli forces took the body of the victim after the incident.

According to him, large groups of invaders gathered in the area under the protection of Israeli forces and that tensions remain high.

“The Israeli army declared Tayasir and Al-Aqaban a closed military zone and launched a large-scale operation, raiding the area with bulldozers and conducting house searches,” Bisharat said.
