Cesc Fàbregas has spoken about his journey as a coach and about the experience he is experiencing at Como, a club which within three years he has returned to Serie A and led to the Champions League for the first time in history, after the fourth place last season. 

In the interview given to the director of Corriere dello Sport, Ivan Zazzaroni, Fàbregas singled out some matches that have made him particularly proud of the football shown by his team, reports “Gazeta Express”.

He first mentioned the 3-0 victory over Lazio on the trip, but also the return match in Rome, where, according to him, Como showed the football that excites him the most.

Fàbregas e recalled the use of Caqueret as a “false 9”, while the formation also included Nico Paz, Baturina, Perrone and Da Cunha, with Sergi Roberto entering the game later.

Another match that the Spaniard singled out was the 2-0 victory over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

“Even playing with a slightly different structure, the team showed a personality that I really liked”, said Fàbregas.

Then the interview moved to a very interesting question: who would he find more stimulating to coach, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi?

Fàbregas chose Messi. “I trust Leo, because I know him. I already know what I can ask him, what he knows how to do, what is the best position for him and what is the best context”, he said.

As for Cristiano Ronaldo, Fàbregas admitted that it would be a very important challenge.

“It would be a big challenge. I would have to get to know him a little more”, said the Como coach.

In the end, he he emphasized the special relationship he has with Messi, as both have known each other since their time at Barcelona.

“I know Leo, he is my lifelong friend. I know him perfectly. Would I say to him ‘do this, do that’? No, but we could talk about it”, concluded Fàbregas.
