The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, the Department of Serious Crimes, has indicted three people who are charged with migrant smuggling.

According to the announcement, S.D. is suspected as the perpetrator of the crime, while B.D. and A.F. are suspected as co-perpetrator.

According to the indictment, on September 23, 2025, in the vicinity of the Vërmicë border crossing, specifically at the bridge of the village of ShkozÃ, S.D., he organized and directed the actions for the smuggling of 10 migrants, all citizens of Egypt, of who had illegally crossed the Kosovo-Albania border. The accused S.D. had rented a vehicle, which he then handed over to B.D. and A.F., with the intention that the latter would carry out the transportation of migrants from the area of Vërmicë in the direction of the border point Kosovo – Serbia. In order to achieve this goal, the defendants had gone towards the border area, while S.D. had communicated with B.D., and had instructed him about the place and time of waiting for the migrants.

Around 01:50, B.D. and A.F. had stopped by vehicle in the emergency lane of the highway, near the bridge of Shkozà village, where the migrants had been waiting.
