A few days before the official launch of the campaign, the acting prime minister, Albin Kurti, said that he requested the design of a package to deal with inflation. Kurti has said that the package to deal with inflation 2.0 aims at one-time support of 100 euros for pensioners, 100 euros for children, 100 euros for employees of the non-public sector and 100 euros for students.
“Our government and theirs will never leave the citizens alone regardless of the blockades that others may impose”, Kurti said at the government meeting.
Kurti said that pensioners and children will not need to apply and payments will be made next week, while for non-public sector employees and students, an application procedure is needed that will open next week.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance Hekuran Murati said that the one-time support of 100 euros includes all employees declared in April with a monthly income of less than 1 thousand euros who are not on the payroll paid by the state budget, so here is the private sector and the other sector, i.e. the public sector, but which is outside the budget organizations, civil society, but also public enterprises and other organizations that do not receive a salary from the state budget.
Also, the Government has also announced the increase of maternity allowances.
“From this month we will increase maternity allowances. While with the previous governments, maternity allowances were zero, for the first time we started paying from 170 euros for unemployed mothers and three months for employed women. We increased the allowances to 325 euros last year. This year, from July 1st, we are increasing the allowances for pregnant women from 325 to 500 euros per month.
