Netanyahu accepts Trump’s invitation to join the Gaza Peace Council

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted an invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the Gaza Peace Council, his office announced today, Anadolu reports.

Netanyahu accepted the invitation and will join the group as a member of its highest body, which will include world leaders, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

Trump’s invitation came despite an arrest warrant. of 2024 issued to Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes in Gaza.

The announcement from Netanyahu’s office also came shortly before he appeared again before the Tel Aviv Central Court on charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

The Peace Board is described as a Trump-led initiative aimed at resolving global conflicts, starting with Gaza.
