The last weekend of July has brought a high flow of citizens and vehicles to the common border point of Kosovo and Albania in Morina.

Since the early hours of the morning, thousands of citizens of Kosovo have headed to Albania to spend the weekend, but also to start their summer vacations on the Albanian coast.

The increase in movements is also related to the return of emigrants who live and work in different countries Europe.

In order to cope with the influx and avoid delays, the Border Police has implemented a simplified border crossing procedure for vehicles with Albanian and Kosovo license plates.

Depending on the number of travelers, additional counters have been opened, enabling a faster circulation and avoiding the creation of long lines.

According to the data of the Border Police, only during the first hours of today have they entered the territory Albanian over 11,000 citizens from Kosovo and about 7,400 vehicles.

The authorities predict that the flow will continue to be high in the coming days, at the height of the tourist season./Abc News
